About Louisa

I’m a qualified British teacher and Head of Year at a leading British school in Dubai, with extensive teaching and leadership experience across the UK and UAE.

I specialise in helping learners of all ages build confidence and develop their English skills. With extensive experience supporting pupils from a wide range of ages and international backgrounds, I can help with English speaking, reading, comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary and English as an Additional Language (EAL).

My approach is warm, patient and encouraging. I take the time to understand each learner’s strengths, challenges, goals and preferred learning style, ensuring every lesson is personalised, purposeful and engaging.

Whether you’re looking for extra support for your child’s understanding, help with school work or an opportunity to improve your own English, I’ll provide tailored, professional tuition to help you achieve your goals.

Please don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions. I’d be happy to discuss how I can help!

About the lesson

I use our first lesson to identify each learner’s strengths and areas for development. I then use informal assessments in every session, alongside monthly progress assessments, to monitor improvement and identify what to focus on next. Detailed feedback is provided to parents after each session, with ideas on what else can be worked on at home in-between our sessions.

Lessons are interactive, supportive and focused on real progress, with plenty of opportunities to practise English in a fun and relaxed environment.

Perfect for children, teenagers and adults learning English as an additional language - from beginners to more confident speakers.

Don’t forget - your first 30 minutes are completely free! We’ll use this time to get to know each other, discuss your goals and complete a short initial assessment to identify strengths and areas to work on. This will help me tailor future lessons to your needs and make the most of our time together.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Monty

Louisa has been a fantastic teacher for Monty. She took the time to understand his strengths and the areas where he needed more support, while always encouraging him to challenge himself and aim higher.

Her lessons were engaging, supportive and tailored to his needs, which really helped build his confidence. We saw a noticeable improvement not only in Monty’s ability, but also in his attitude towards learning and his willingness to tackle more challenging work.

Louisa has a brilliant way of explaining things clearly while still pushing her students to reach their full potential. We’re incredibly grateful for the support and encouragement she gave Monty and would highly recommend her as a tutor.
