About Anne
As a dedicated student specializing in Design, Planning & Surveying in Construction T-Levels with a focus on engineering and architecture at Weston College, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for mathematics to my tutoring sessions. My academic achievements include an A* in both GCSE Maths and Design & Technology, with an impressive coursework score of 97/100. I have also excelled in various mathematics competitions, securing 2nd Place in the IMAS International Round (International Mathematics Assessment for Schools) and 2nd Place in the English Violympics (International Round).
My extensive background in both theoretical and practical aspects of maths and technology equips me to provide a comprehensive and effective tutoring experience. I am committed to helping students build confidence in their mathematical abilities and achieve their academic goals. My teaching methodology is designed to address both the written exam and coursework components of Design & Technology. Each lesson, lasting 1 hour, offers two options.
The first option focuses on the written exam, beginning with a 10-minute recap of the previous lesson and error correction if necessary. This is followed by 15-20 minutes of teaching new material and starter exercises. The remaining time is dedicated to allowing students to tackle more challenging questions independently, with a review and explanation of their answers.
The second option is tailored to coursework, providing step-by-step instructions for each part to help students achieve their desired grades, along with regular progress checks.
With years of experience teaching my family and friends since I was around 10 years old, and conducting online lessons in Vietnamese, English, and Maths, I have developed a personalized and supportive approach. My lessons are geared towards KS4 (GCSE) students, typically aged 15-16, ensuring they receive the guidance they need to succeed.
