I teach my students how I wished to be taught back in school: with a methodical approach, filling in gaps in knowledge as we go along. I want my students to be comfortable understanding not just when to use the concepts taught, but how and why they are used.
I also like to keep tabs on any weak points my student has, so that we can continually test them over the coming lessons to make sure they have taken the concepts on.
Over the years I have acquired lots of great resources that I can pass on to the student. I encourage each student to create and use cheat sheets and mind maps to condense topics and help with memorization. I also believe that doing example problems is the best way to learn, so I bring along example questions to each lesson so we can practice the concepts taught.
I can also provide help with homework, lab reports and presentations.
I am a graduate of Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London, and have used Maths and Chemistry extensively thoughout my studies. I can bring lots of interesting examples and applications to the lessons, and even some personal mentoring for anyone wanting to do an Engineering degree.
In my A-levels I achieved 3 A*s in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and an A in Further Maths.
I have tutored Maths to A-Level and GCSE students.
