About Claire
I am a teaching assistant at a junior school and work on a one to one basis developing skills of children who need extra support . This includes all subjects plus other fundamental skills. I have been doing this for four years and have worked with a variety of children, including ADHD, autism and global delay. I have a level 3 in child’s play learn and development .

My method of teaching is to see what works best for the child . Every child is different and works and learns differently. What works for one child might not work for another . Trying to make the lessons and the subjects fun and engaging is a must. As teacher or teaching assistant you don’t just focus on the subject you are teaching if you notice the child’s fine motor or gross motor skills are lacking you develop them and help the child . I am kind and caring and make the child or children I am working with feel calm and happy . I also help to bring the pupils confident up . You become the pupils trusted person so they can make a bond with you which makes it easier for them to learn and progress their skills .
