About Anne-Laure
I am UCSC (slug!) graduate with a BA in psychology and TESOL master's degree from SJSU. I have been teaching all subjects and then primarily English for the past 9 years! I love teaching my students one-on-one but I've also taught small groups in summer camp settings and 30 person classes in community college (SJCC).

Because I have taught all levels and ages in the past, I have become experienced with tailoring my lessons to each student. I assess my students the very first class to obtain basic information about their wants and needs. The magic happens when I go home and build a customized lesson plan with supportive texts and material that will ensure quick and lively language acquisition. I've taught a range of skills, such as speaking or listening, to one student and for other students, I've had to fabricate a series of lessons focused on business English. When tutoring, I'm happy to adapt to my student. On a personal level my approach is far from boring; I connect with my students using games, stories, and warm, inquisitive banter.

Perfect! Anne is an excellent English teacher, very knowledgeable and patient.
She is very organized and flexible based on my level and requests, also flexible with the schedule.
She introduced me a lot of useful textbook and website too.
I highly recommend to learn English from her.View more reviews
