About Jerika
I began tutoring in my hometown during junior year of high school. I was ecstatic when my original 3 families tripled in only 6 month's time. I loved seeing the kids excel during the school year, but the peak of my joy was during our summertime programs. Creating a lesson plan to cater to each child's needs was something I became really good at. Parent's liked that I kept the kids on top of the previous year's subjects while also preparing them for the upcoming grade.

I have 6+ years of experience in all subjects elementary through 8th grade. Open to virtual sessions as well as in-person meetings. In-person sessions will take place at the Grand Rapids Public Library. Flexible scheduling to meet your family's needs.
As a tutor, I like to create a curriculum that caters to your student's learning style. While it's important to tackle the difficult topics, I also like to review mastered skills as well. This is usually through a warm-up activity at the beginning of session.
