About Steve
I love the English language; its huge vocabulary, endless idiomatic possibilities, its unpredictable pronunciation and spelling. I thrive on teaching it all. I have taught groups of foreign students and individuals, face-to-face as well as online. Students enjoy my informal approach to teaching, which is effective, comprehensive and targeted on the student’s (or students’) specific needs.

Whatever your level of English, I can help you improve. Whether you need development with: speaking, listening, reading or writing, I will work with you to extend your abilities. My lessons are based around helping you understand the kind of language you will hear every day in conversation on social media or on television and radio. I focus on functional vocabulary to help you do day-to-day things in English. I am a Cambridge CELTA-qualified EFL teacher, a languages (Arabic and Hebrew) graduate, and former journalist and magazine editor. My entire 35-year career has been dedicated to the English language. Let me bring that experience to help you improve your English.
