About ELISA
I have a BA and MA in English from the University of Toronto. I am retired now but still active teaching privately and writing a blog. I have a passion for literature, philosophy, the environment and other cultures. I am patient and compassionate and love to teach English at all levels.

I believe in reading comprehension as the perfect skill to kick off a more detailed /nuanced use of the English language. By focusing on sentence structures and words we can trigger useful and fun conversations in and about the English language. Depending on the student 's interests and goals, the teaching material used will benefit each learner.
