About Nika
I have 12 years of experience studying abroad and have been exposed to the French, British, and American educational systems. I can comfortably correspond—in written form and orally—in English, French, Spanish, and Mandarin. I have been a peer tutor and private for-pay tutor for students ranging from 5 to 16 years of age. I LOVE using the first 3-5 sessions to focus on identifying a students’ needs and preferences through conversations with them and their parents, or their current teachers. I highly encourage all my students to freely voice their concerns or opinions about session pace or content. Students and tutors are COLLABORATORS, driven by the same goal of academic excellence and linguistic mastery!

My favourite instructional method involves the creation and completion of personalized worksheets, or online quizzes, as a supplement to regular schoolwork.
First sessions will ALWAYS be dedicated to curricula review and inquiring about study style preferences. Subsequent sessions will be dedicated to reviewing or completing school assignments as well as custom quizzes or worksheets. I encourage biweekly in-person satisfaction checks to ensure students’ receptivity and confidence. Parents are welcome to attend these checks and provide feedback!
I am able to correspond in English, French, Mandarin, and Spanish. I also have personal experience with the French, British, and American educational systems including IGCSE and IB requirements.
I primarily cater to primary and secondary school-aged children. However, I can tutor non-English speaking international students attending post-secondary schools.
