About Orla
Hi! I’m an English tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in English Language and Professional Writing. I focus on children’s literature, storytelling, and early literacy. I enjoy helping emergent readers and early elementary students grow as confident readers.
In lessons, I use picture books, storytelling, and creative play to teach phonological awareness, comprehension, and vocabulary. Students engage actively with stories and characters, exploring ideas and expressing themselves. Lessons are interactive, fun, and tailored to each child’s needs.
My goal is to nurture curiosity, imagination, and a love for books. I help children discover the joy of reading while developing essential literacy skills. Together, we make reading magical and exciting.
