For younger levels, I offer story-based lessons, aiming to achieve technical excellence through creative expression. Spelling, punctuation, grammar and handwriting can be focused on to a greater or lesser extent depending on the individual student's needs. For secondary school and GCSE students, I emphasise practical essay-writing skills and analysis of seen and unseen texts.
I have two years of experience working with KS1 and KS2 children in literacy and numeracy, particularly children with learning disabilities including dyslexia. I also have some experience tutoring young adults up to GCSE level, and passed my own English Language and English Literature GCSEs with grade 9s. I am predicted an A* in A Level English Literature, with full marks in coursework.
