About Maggie
I am an English Literature major working on my thesis at the University of Queensland, and I study IT, Psychology and French on the side. In the future, I want to develop a technology that connects students to English learning (similar to Grammarly, Khan Academy, SparkNotes). Currently I'm working on a computational language processing app with the UQ School of Languages and Cultures.
I love working with students to help achieve their goals whether that may be improving grades, knowing more about the English language or improving grammar. I believe that confidence is the key to learning.
If you would like to get to know me more or get examples of past work, just message or email me. After a while, hopefully you will no longer need my help. By then, you will be confident and English proficient.

My name is Maggie, the English Tutor. I have a passion for teaching and helping others. I've taught around 20 to 30 students in my 4 years of tutoring, ranging from grade 4 to University level. I have experience across a range of different schools such as Brisbane State High, Girls Grammar, St Aidans and Mansfield. I've had C students jump to A within 4-5 weeks and many positive reviews from my clients.
I tailor each session differently for each student. I begin by assessing your problem, assessing your learning style and then finding a solution that is achievable for both of us by the end of the lesson. Then, I'll ask for feedback as to what I can do to better improve your experience and to help you achieve your goals in English.
I have flexible hours, typically ranging from 1-3hrs, flexible travel and availability, from online classes to in-person. I can tutor one-off assignments, long term tutoring, basic to advanced English, grammar checking and help with public speaking or whatever you need :).
