About Megan
My name’s Megan, and I’m currently studying English Literature at university after loving it since my very first year of secondary school. That said, I didn’t always find it easy. I struggled at first to write academically and score highly, even though I had all the passion and interest. It took me time to learn how to translate my thoughts into strong essays, and now I want to help others do the same. I want my students to feel confident, to see how fun and open English Literature really is. There’s no single right answer, everything is subjective, and that’s what makes it exciting!

My lessons aim to make literature less intimidating by breaking down texts and exploring them in approachable, engaging ways. We’ll look for links between works to build a rounded understanding, discuss interpretations openly, and then shape those ideas into strong academic arguments. I focus on close reading to unpack tricky sections and analyse how historical, social, or personal contexts influence meaning. My goal is to make every text feel accessible, relatable, and even enjoyable, helping you feel confident in your analysis and writing.
