By asking my students what topics they are struggling on at school currently I can help them in areas that they know they need improving on, rather than telling them what I want to teach them, meaning they are able to become more confident and comfortable in a classroom environment. Once I have helped them in my lesson I give them homework and then mark through it the following week for around 10 - 20 minutes giving them feedback so they can better understand where they need to improve. When tutoring privately its extremely important to me that each child has tailored experience that suits them and helps them to learn as best as they possibly can so if parents have any requests for how they would like my lessons to be i am happy to take on ideas.
