About Imogen
I am an undergraduate student studying English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, where I particularly enjoy studying Shakespeare and literary theory. I am most interested in the philosophical side of literature and how meaning is shaped by the reader, the author and the context. As a student, I know how important it is to discuss literature and this is something I bring to my teaching.

My approach to tutoring is one that encourages the student to engage with English head on, exploring and discussing interpretations instead of simply teaching a formula for analysis. This discussion-based programme of teaching is paired with a hands-on approach to essay writing and answering questions, which will involve in-depth study of the student's responses and techniques to improve their structure, analysis and clarity.
