About Sherry
Hi! My name is Sherry! I am a 31-year-old English Literature major (with a minor in Business!) who works in communications in the Government of Canada. I've been tutoring students in English/English Literature since I've been in middle school, so for more than two thirds of my life! I can help you work through tough classic texts, structure your essays, improve your grammar, or prep for tests. I am always willing to tailor my tutoring to your needs, while keeping it engaging. When I was in Grade 9, I received a 400/400 on the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT), reflecting my mastery of reading and writing at the secondary level. While completing university, I also obtained my TESOL/TESL/TEFL certification. Outside of work and tutoring, I am an avid reader and active Goodreads user, constantly seeking new books and leaving reviews. My curiosity extends beyond the page - I love to travel, experience new cultures, go to music festivals, and spend quality time with friends.
