Hello! I believe that learning a language should be an adventure. My own life has taken me from South Africa to the UK, Spain, Germany, and beyond, working in fields as diverse as scuba diving and international business. This journey has taught me that the key to any new skill is confidence and a supportive guide. My teaching philosophy is simple: we focus on you. My approach to teaching English is the same one I learned as a scuba instructor: we guide you from hesitation to confidence. It’s not about memorizing textbooks; it’s about having real conversations that lead to a breakthrough. We don’t fear mistakes—we look for them. They are the clearest signposts on the path to progress, showing us exactly where the next practical win is. My method is structured to remove friction and build confidence quickly: Presentation: I introduce new language in a clear, simple way. Practice: We work through it together in guided activities until you feel comfortable. Production: You start using it yourself in real-world situations, making it your own. What makes my coaching unique is the blend of global business experience and formal TEFL training. Beginners will find a patient guide. Professionals will find a mentor who has managed teams and closed deals across seven countries, and can offer targeted coaching for presentations, negotiations, and clear business writing. As a native English and Afrikaans speaker fluent in German, I bring a practical understanding of how languages connect.
