About Jackie
I find that face-to-face communication is most valuable to learning and perfecting English as a second language. Many international students who stay at my home have problems with listening.
There are many accents in the UK, especially in London, which is confusing to most students and makes it difficult for them to contextualize the English language.
My approach to helping students understand English is to communicate verbally with them, which is both educating and fun.

As a host to international students, I have noticed that the weakest point of their tests is listening.
Oral communication enhances the ability to understand contextual English.
My approach is talking about topics of interest and relevance to the student's level of English and their profession.
I am not a qualified teacher, but I am a postgraduate in the English education system and have helped many students to either answer questions in class or pass tests.
My lessons are for students of all levels, age and professions.
I hold a current DBS certificate.
