About Jack
I'm Jack, a 17-year-old male going into his second year at Reigate College. I study English lit, politics and RS achieving A*A*A in my year 12 mocks. I also got multiple 8s at GCSE including English language, RE and Sport Science but this academic success wasn’t always the case. Up until year 11 I didn’t take my education that seriously, even failing a lot of subjects in my year 10 mocks due to a lack of focus. Although I regret this, I understand it’s easy for kids and teenagers to lose focus on academics, so being on the right path now has given me a real passion not only to give key-stage 2 and 3 students the ability to succeed but make them want to by giving them the chance to feel the pride and determination to improve I got in year 11.

My lessons will focus on what I found worked well for me. This will consist of visual and oral explained demonstrations on techniques followed by a supervised then independent attempt to make sure you can use it effectively. If preparing for any tests I’ll do the same for hitting each part of the mark scheme effectively. As well as this, we will use methods such as practice questions, quotation banks, character boards and flashcard questions to memorise content as well as giving you revision techniques for life.
