About Eileen
My experience as an educator started when I taught English as a second language nearly 20 years ago. Eventually, I began my career in teaching English at the senior high school level and, for the most part, worked as a university professor in English, communication, research, journalism, and writing. For my educational background, my undergraduate degree was Journalism; studied master's in Communication Arts; and am currently finishing my PhD dissertation in translation studies.

My approach to teaching English begins with a lesson on the building blocks of language. In this way, students better understand sentence formation and are guided toward constructing their own well-formed sentences, paragraphs, and discourses. The end goal is to help students gain confidence in using English and writing well in this language.
