About Maya
Hey! I am an English student in college currently studying to become an English Teacher. I understand English can be challenging. It was not always easy for me! The most effective way I learned was by constantly reading, writing, and most importantly asking questions. I believe no question is a "dumb" or "silly" question. I approach my teaching with a positive, and open mindset. Becoming a confident reader and writer takes time and practice. I am dedicated to helping students find confidence in their reading and writing abilities!

Hi! I am currently an English student studying to become an English teacher. I love anything and all English! I tutor elementary to middle school students. From essay editing, reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, all the way to learning the fundamentals of English, I've got you covered. I consider myself and teaching style calm, cool, and collected. I understand that English can be a very hard subject to grasp. As a young child, I was not confident in my English comprehension or writing abilities. As I grew older I continuously read and wrote to improve my skills. I can now confidently say through my trial and error I am able to help others who struggle just like I did! My passion for English started at a very young age and I hope to help and inspire young driven students.
