About Natalie
I am an English and History third-year student at UC Berkeley. I've dabbled in creative writing, but my strength is in persuasive writing. It is absolutely imperative to believe that I am making a strong case... did that convince you?!
Jokes aside, I have had a long history of tutoring. As a senior in high school, I worked as a peer mentor for the freshmen in my program. I helped them learn how to write our bi-monthly research papers at the end of each unit. I also tutor my neighbor in reading comprehension and grammar. I was even called "Grammar Goddess" in middle school!

Writing should be fun! I like to approach tutoring by making it exciting---for example, we can practice writing skills by crafting an essay about characters from your favorite TV show. I learned how to write essays at a humanities magnet in high school, where we refined our technique of creating a strong thesis and supporting it with body paragraphs. At UC Berkeley, I write dozens of essays a year using these skills that I hope to teach you!
