I am glad you’re here! With 6 years of experience teaching 6-12 English Language Arts, I am up to date on a wide range of curriculums and learning strategies. I will plan lessons around prior knowledge or your current curriculum as a support to the amazing things you are already doing.
-We will start with some basic word study, introducing or reinforcing vocabulary that is important to the lesson.
-Then, depending on need, there will be a hands on chunked reading or writing activity. These activities are designed to increase engagement with text and give students the skills to communicate what they have learned.
-Each lesson will end with a survey or check in to get feedback on areas that still need growth.
I believe that these sessions can be effective with only 30 minutes sessions 2-3 times a week.
