About Dianne
I am a high school English teacher who has taught English in Nova Scotia for 12 years, ESL to high school students in China for 4 years, and ESL to adults in Toronto, Canada, for two years.
I am particularly eager to teach ESL here in Nova Scotia to both youth and adults.

My first goal in teaching is to establish a working relationship with my students that is based on mutual respect, and on clear expectations.
I define the purpose of each lesson and the expected outcome. I then proceed to implement tools and techniques that lead directly to the learning outcomes.
I use visual aids, stories, and real-life examples to convey the meaning of the topic at hand, and then question the student to determine the level of comprehension that has been achieved.
