About Courtney
I always ensure my students feel safe and know that they are my number one priority. My ability to connect with my students and ensure the learning process is specific to both their needs as well as their interests ensures students are actively engaged and continually growing. My background in education also allows me to break standards or skills down to their most basic concepts in order to identify the area of need and keep the learning process as simple as possible when reteaching areas of weakness or introducing new skills or concepts. However, the heart of my teaching philosophy will always be my students.

I am a current high school English teacher with a background in middle grades (6-8) as well. I have taught for six years. I make learning fun and simple in order to ensure my students are both confident and competent when they leave my classroom or have to perform on an assessment. My greatest strength is my ability to connect with my students and make their learning specific to their interests in an effort to isolate and refine their needs while identifying and utilizing the student’s strengths.
