About Emerah
My name is Amanda Emerah, and I am a friendly, patient, and professional English tutor based in Lagos.
I have professional experience in a customer-facing environment, where clear communication, active listening, and patience are important every day. This has helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with people from different backgrounds.

My name is Amanda Emerah, and I take a practical, patient, and student-focused approach to teaching English.
My lessons are designed to help students not only understand English but also feel confident using it in real-life situations. I combine conversation practice, guided exercises, grammar explanations, vocabulary building, reading and writing activities, and role-play exercises depending on the student’s goals and level.
I encourage students to actively participate during lessons rather than simply listen. I also provide constructive corrections and explanations in a supportive way, so students can learn from their mistakes without feeling uncomfortable.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. We usually begin with a short conversation or review, followed by the main lesson topic and practical exercises. We finish with feedback and a small task or recommendation for continued practice.
