About Summerlynn
I’m a high school junior with a strong academic background in English and a genuine love for writing and language. I earned a 5 on the AP English Language and Composition exam, have won three spelling bees, and have consistently earned A+ grades in my English courses.
Outside of school, I work as an assistant softball trainer, where I regularly teach and work with younger athletes. This experience has taught me how to explain skills in different ways, be patient when someone is struggling, give helpful feedback, and adapt my teaching style to each individual. I love seeing the confidence kids gain when something they were struggling with finally clicks!
I bring that same patience and encouragement to tutoring. My goal is to make students feel comfortable asking questions while helping them become stronger, more confident, and more independent in their English and writing skills.

My lessons are personalized to each student and what they need the most help with. I can help with essay writing, proofreading, spelling, grammar, reading comprehension, and improving overall writing skills. I’ll work through assignments with students, explain corrections in an easy-to-understand way, and help them become more confident and independent writers.
English has always been one of my strongest subjects.
