About Shaivi
As a passionate English tutor who believes that learning should be engaging, interactive and enjoyable and having consistently excelled academically, I understand what it takes to master the language while making the process stress-free and rewarding.
Beyond academics, my experience as Head Girl, a debater, public speaker and event anchor has strengthened my communication skills and taught me how to connect with students of different learning styles. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing their ideas and learning from their mistakes.
My goal is not just to help students score better in exams but to build their confidence in reading, writing, speaking and critical thinking. Every lesson is carefully planned to suit individual needs, ensuring that learning remains practical, memorable and enjoyable. I believe English is best learned through conversation, creativity and curiosity- not rote memorisation. My lessons are highly interactive, engaging and tailored to each student's pace and learning style. I use visual aids, pictures, real-life examples, stories, speeches, literary references, videos and figures of speech to make concepts memorable and help students retain what they learn. The notes designed by me are student-friendly too, for quick revisions and retention.
A typical class begins with a quick activity to familiarise the students with the topic, followed by concept-building through discussions. We then practise through reading, writing, grammar exercises, vocabulary-building and spoken English, ending with feedback and personalised tips for improvement. I also focus on developing confidence, critical thinking and effective communication alongside academic excellence, as per the examination standards of the students.
As someone with a perfect score in English and extensive experience in debating, public speaking and leadership, I understand how to help students express themselves clearly and confidently. My classes are ideal for school students who want to improve their English, excel in examinations, strengthen their writing and speaking skills or simply develop a genuine love for the language.
