Having completed my school education in Queensland, I have a thorough understanding of what the requirements and expectations for students are but also how difficult it can be to navigate through English texts and assignments. I have a very bubbly, empathetic and approachable personality, which allows me to relate to a diverse range of people. I like to conduct my teaching in a friendly, conversational setting. As a result, I work especially well with people who love to engage in conversation. My lessons would start with a general catch up on how school - in particular English as a subject - has been going and what the student has found easy or difficult. Then I would move on to outline the aims for the lesson before working through the piece of text or assignment for the set amount of time, before concluding with a brief conversation about what the student would like to work on in the next tutoring session.
