About Becky
I have extensive experience of working with children and young people, including teaching in local schools and after school clubs, in a voluntary capacity and more recently in my current job as a youth worker. I've been tutoring maths specifically for 6 months from primary to GCSE level and am loving it!

I have an A-level in maths (grade A) but prefer to teach at primary level - it's more fun!
I will usually begin a first lesson with a new student by getting to know them a bit and then doing a few questions from a range of topics (eg fractions, mental maths and telling the time) to work out where their strengths and weaknesses are. Then in the following lessons, we'll cover relevant topics and make the most of one-on-one tutoring by going at your pace.
I'm enthusiastic (I love teaching!), encouraging, and I have plenty of patience. I love to see students grow in confidence and enjoyment of maths.

As I use a mixture of buses and my own two feet, the time involved in travelling can be significant, so it's usually much more cost effective for you if you come to me. My rates for travel vary according to distance as follows:
Less than 0.5km - no charge
0.5-1km - £5 per lesson
1-5km - £15 per lesson.
