About Emma
I have been a primary school teacher in London for 4 years in nursery, year 1 and year 2 classroom settings. I am currently a supply teacher where I teach children from ages 3-11. From a very young age I have loved working with young children and also working with young adults. I have been a youth leader, where I have led weekly youth clubs for young people and have led many residential summer camps for over 200 teenagers. I have taught English in Ghana, I have recently completed my CELTA training with a pass A and thoroughly enjoyed teaching adults English. I absolutely loved getting to know the adults I was teaching and was able to incorporate my primary school teaching skills into the English lessons for adults. I love using music in my teaching. I sometimes bring my guitar into the school, which the children love! I use lots of visuals and try to make things as simple as possible for my students. I am currently at beginner level Spanish so I am incredibly aware of the best ways to teach languages to EFL students. I thrive in helping people and really enjoy seeing both children and adults improve with their knowledge and understanding.
