About Alice
I am an enthusiastic tutor who has achieved highly throughout my education, and would like others to do the same. I have just graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First Class BA in Land Economy, with several papers over my time being marked as a First Class with Distinction. Prior to this, I achieved 4 A* at A-Level and 8 A* and 1 A (or equivalent) at GCSE. I can also support university admissions, with prior experience of the Oxbridge admissions process. I have done this for Land Economy, and also aided with TSA preparations.

I have over three years of formal experience tutoring, with prior informal experience with classmates. My approach is student-centred, with an initial focus on understanding student aims of achievement. I am goal-oriented, whilst trying to understand how the student learns best to achieve these. If the goal is exam-oriented, I am guided strongly by the specification whilst trying to make the experience fun. I am guided by my background in interdisciplinary studies, which I bring into my tuition. I tend to place the topic under discussion under the context of the real world. I usually start sessions with a round-up of the recent news events since we last met. I find this helps wider understanding for preparation for assessment.
