About Emily
Hello there! My name is Emily and I'm a fifth year medical student at Imperial College London with a BSc in Medical Sciences with Global Health. I specialise in GCSE Biology, A Level Biology and Medicine Admissions tutoring.
I have vast experience teaching students with a range of abilities, ages, learning styles and in different settings. I'm enthusiastic about improving my students' confidence and understanding of the subject - whether they are a fan of the topic or not! My aim is to enable those I teach to completely understand the content, not just memorise it, so they can go into exams feeling confident.
I was successful in securing my top choice of medical school and am therefore able to offer advice on medical school preparation, including personal statements and interview prep – hopefully making your UCAS application less stressful than mine was!

Medical Admissions - Sessions are completed personalised to your individual needs. Together we can identify your strengths and weaknesses and optimise your chances of getting into your first choice medical school. I can give advice on how to approach personal statement writing, give feedback on personal statements drafts, and run mock interviews.
GSCE/A Level Biology - Sessions will be interactive, informative and engaging; guided by what you want to learn. Usually, the session begins by us setting clear objectives based on your individual needs. Then we will focus in on the content of the session - this will be structured around the exam syllabus to ensure you know the key information to excel in your exams. A variety of techniques, that best suit your learning styles, will be used to help you understand the subject. Towards the end of the session we will focus in on some exam questions to help consolidate your knowledge and improve exam technique. You should come away with greater confidence on the topics and hopefully more enjoyment
