About Olivia
I am a native English speaker, originally from Boston, Massachusetts. I now live and teach in New York City. I speak English, Italian, Spanish, and a bit of Portuguese, French, and Arabic. I am a recent graduate of New York University with a Bachelor's degree in Italian Studies, European and Mediterranean Studies, and Ancient Studies. I have one year of online ESOL teaching experience, teaching adults of various levels. For the past three years, I have taught Italian at a language immersion summer camp for kids and adolescents. This past year, I worked as the Italian Language Curriculum Coordinator for this same camp.

I welcome students of all levels, including complete beginners! As the majority of my language learning and language teaching experience has been within immersion environments (only speaking, hearing, reading, etc. the target language), I try to use as much English and as little translations as appropriate based on the student's comprehension. However, I tailor the lessons to you and your goals! I love to use music, videos, and articles in English to teach vocabulary and grammar, alongside structure grammar and vocab exercises, all with the goal that you can COMMUNICATE in English! I will meet you where YOU are and do my best to support you any way I can. :) I hope to meet you soon!
