As a qualified maths teacher with over seven years of private tuition experience, I enjoy igniting the “Eureka!” moment in students, assisting them to overcome mathematical challenges and realise their own potential.
Calm and compassionate, positive and patient, I work well with children of all ages and abilities and have experience of teaching KS3, GCSE, A-Levels and the IB.
With a wealth of resources and pedagogy strategies I am able to assess students’ strengths and areas for improvement, tailoring lesson plans to the needs and capability of the student.
I am happy to travel to a student’s home or to work in a suitable public space, such as a library.

max provided excellent support for my son in the leadup to his GCSE maths exams, he has always arrived on time, was available at last minute and was very helpful at assessing what areas my son needed to work on, thank you max for all your hard work!!
Joe’s confidence in mathematics has soared since having weekly lessons with Mr Boxer, who was able to accommodate awkward session timings (Sunday mornings!). Joe has coped well with most areas of his Further Maths course, however, due to two changes in classroom teacher over as many months, missed out on parts of the Statistics syllabus. Mr Boxer has provided resources for Joe to utilise and marks it at no additional charge.
