About Madeleine

I am a second year student at the University of Exeter studying Philosophy and Theology, BA Joint Honours.
I took three A levels in English, History and Philosophy which I graduated with A*, A*, A*.
I am hoping to tutor students up to GCSE level, in a variety of subjects. As well as subject matter the part of GCSE’s that most students seem to struggle with is the structure of answering both essay and exam questions. This focuses not only on the structure of the essay as a whole but can be broken down into paragraph structure and sentence order. As someone who struggled with this at GCSE myself I have been taught and found many ways to work on this.
My education included 5 years of state primary school and 2 years of sixth form with an incredible stint at Michael Hall, a Steiner Waldorf school. I feel that this varied education helps me to approach tutoring in perhaps a different way, trying out different revision and learning methods to really adapt with someone’s style.
