About Matdysen
I am well prepared to motivate students and have taken tests within the past week to reaffirm my proficiency in the academic subjects I mentioned earlier. I have my bachelor's degree in Environmental Health however my first major was Biomedical Engineering. As requisites for this major I was challenged to take Calculus I, Calculus II, and Calculus III at my Universities of study. I have attended both the University of Arizona (full ride scholarship and acceptance into the Honors college due to my high PSAT and high school GPA 4.4). I transferred to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where I obtained my degree. I have several years tutoring experience and am familiar with the challenges the learning process presents. I am patient and able to identify the difficult areas and knowledgeable about my approach to individualized problem solving.

I have several years of formal tutoring experience. I am familiar and have experience tutoring students with learning disabilities such as ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia. I have several years of experience in child care as well and often use the skills I mastered (patience, active listening, engagement techniques, etc) to provide students with educational support as a whole. This would be the difference between learning from a textbook, and learning from a teacher.
