I received A* grades in my Advanced Level English studies, graduating from Eton College, and A* grades at GCSE level (16 years old). This allows me to share the expert teaching and resources which I was exposed to at Eton, which helped me gain entry to one of the top universities in the world.

My lessons focus on developing strong analytical and writing skills through discussion-based learning and close textual analysis. I tailor each session to the student’s needs, using a combination of guided reading, essay planning, and feedback on written work to build confidence and clarity of expression in writing. Lessons are typically 60-90 minutes. I have extensive experience tutoring English Literature and Language at secondary-school level, but my client base has also ranged to 35-year-olds, focusing on bettering English language abilities. My main focus is on essay structure, argument development, and contextual understanding. This approach draws on my own academic background in advanced English and humanities study, as well as experience in debating, journalism, and competitive essay writing. These sessions are ideal for students aged 12–18, especially those preparing for school entrance exams, or public exams and university admissions, who wish to strengthen their written communication and critical thinking skills.
