I have a Bachelor in Journalism, a Postgraduate Diploma in Media Management and a Master of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies. I have worked in newsrooms and I have been working in social media and communications for the past few years.

I will go through a variety of subjects. The first free lesson will be about meeting each other and having a chat about where your interests lie and how the course can shape around that.
From the second lesson onwards I would like to first start with media history and how it has evolved over the years. Then from there we can go into the nitty gritty... you can try your hand at article writing and I will help you learn the basics of a journalistic article and the style guide we use.
Online learning will occur on a visual basis so skype or zoom will be valuable programs to have.
I will also communicate through WhatsApp and Emails for additional information or assignments that need to be handed in. If data costs are a problem for you then we can chat and try make an arrangement
Additionally after that, if the student still wishes to continue we can explore social media and some media studies theories around that.
I won't have a set lecture to give you just so you can sit and quietly write things down. I would like to have an engaging talk and shape the lessons around what the student is interested in and the questions that arise from it.
