Hi everyone! I’m a sixth-form student currently studying A-level Maths, Biology and Chemistry, and I’m offering Maths and general homework support for children in KS2 and KS3.

About Deborah
I am a friendly and responsible sixth-form student currently studying A-level Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. I enjoy helping younger students understand topics that initially seem confusing and seeing their confidence improve with practice.
Through approximately three years of volunteering in my church’s children’s department, I have developed patience, reliability and experience communicating with children of different ages. My hospital volunteering has also strengthened my listening and communication skills. I want to teach because I understand how valuable a calm explanation and supportive learning environment can be when a student is struggling.

My lessons are friendly, patient and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I begin by identifying which topics the student understands and where they need more support. I then explain each concept clearly, demonstrate worked examples and guide the student through practice questions before encouraging them to work independently.
Lessons typically last one hour and are designed for KS2 and KS3 students who need support with Maths, homework or building confidence. I am currently studying A-level Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry and achieved Grade 6 in GCSE Mathematics. My experience volunteering with children has helped me communicate clearly, remain patient and adapt explanations to different ages and learning styles.
