My goal as your tutor is to empower you to excel in your studies, achieving the best grades you can, by sharing my passion for economics and politics.
Our lessons will be tailored around your educational needs, and I can do so across a range of topics within economics, political economy, and politics, and at different levels (GCSE, A-Level, Undergraduate, Masters).
Some examples of my areas of expertise include:
- Economics: macroeconomics, microeconomics, behavioural economics, critical economic theory.
- Political economy: history of economic thought, theories of capitalism and socialism, economic crises, neoliberalism, recession and austerity, finance and financial systems.
- Politics: climate change and sustainability, health and inequality, democracy and populism.
Lesson structure & method:
Lessons will last 60 minutes and will be tailored around your needs and level (which will be assessed in the first session). The exact shape of this will depend on your needs, but this might look like the following:
- If you are working at GCSE or A-Level we can explore the theoretical approaches that you need to cover for your syllabus through various exercises, discussions and tests;
- If you need help writing essays or coursework we can work together to empower your efforts in tackling tricky questions to maximise your grades;
- If you are working at undergraduate level, we can explore topics with a more critical lens to challenge narratives and existing discourse on your area of interest.
- If working at postgraduate level, I can support you in your independent research based on my many years of expertise.

Stefan has the skills to be an excellent tutor. Having supervised his Masters thesis and now his PhD, I have always been impressed by his intellectual ability and the way in which he can explain complex ideas in simple terms. He is very patient and dedicated, all attributes that will serve him well as a tutor.
Stefan enthusiastically shares deep and tremendously valuable insights when drawing upon his wealth of knowledge of Political Economy. He is able to accurately pinpoint gaps in understanding or expertise, filling these clearly and concisely. He's a real asset to anyone looking to improve in this area, and has my wholehearted recommendation.
