About Bang Trang
I have been a Math teacher for over 3 years, mainly teaching primary and secondary studentss.
I have taught hundred of students in my home country - Vietnam, teach Math in English. Teaching mathematics is a challenging, yet rewarding endeavor. Students enter the classroom with various learning styles, family backgrounds, attitudes, and conceptions. I believe the teacher is responsible for making the students feel comfortable to ask questions in class and seek help when needed. The teacher must act as a parent, coach, disciplinarian, counselor, advisor, and friend to their students in the classroom. Teachers should be teaching more than just mathematics in their classrooms; they should be teaching many other things as well. For example, social skills which include respect, honesty, hard-work, and dedication are unwritten areas that teachers handle on a daily basis.
My role as a teacher was to guide the long-term development of a child’s intellectual capacity and not simply helping them achieve better scores at school.

I believe that Teachers are the guiders and facilitators, not transfers, of knowledge. My goal as a Math teacher is to motivate students to actively examine, extend their thinking and thus maximize their learnings.
By understand the insight of students’ obstacles to learning, especially in Math, I aim to make Math interesting, make Math possible and make Math relevant to my students, thus motivating and engaging them with excitement and belief that Math is fun and easy to handle, by not telling students what to do, but instead to show them HOW to do it and WHY should they do it.
Make math interesting, by engaging students with excitement and storyline.
