I have found sharing the wonder and pleasure of finding things out, connecting them and discovering the causes inspires young people to apply their knowledge and understanding. To facilitate creative problem solving I encourage students to be risk-takers and not to fear making mistakes. I provide a stimulating and challenging learning experience using local community issues and examining real-life problems. This develops life skills such as research, self management, thinking, communication and social skills. It also facilitates understanding of form and function, see causes, connections and perspectives and recognise change and responsibility.
