About Dorothy
From secondary school to university, I have loved exploring religious and non-religious beliefs/practices and how that shapes our worldview. As a dedicated Form Tutor for six years, I’ve supported students across Years 7 to 13 with their understanding of religion, philosophy and ethics, academic references, work experience, post 16 preparation.

I have taught the 'Big Six' world religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism) alongside smaller religious traditions, philosophy, and ethics, with a particular specialism in A-level Ethics. I have extensive experience with both the WJEC Eduqas GCSE RE specification and the Pearson Edexcel A-level RE course, including teaching, assessing, and marking. My tutoring style is positive, pleasant and patient, I seek to further your understanding at a pace you feel comfortable and using engaging tasks, activities and conversation to enrich your learning/revision experience. My sessions usually take a 4 part structure of introduction, activation, demonstration and consolidation: ranging in tasks from essay writing practice, true or false quizzes, comprehensions etc. time ranging from 40 minutes to an hour and 30 minutes. If you wish to receive the knowledge of an expert classroom teacher but through the benefits of 1 to 1 tutoring, please do get in contact. :)

Perfect! We found tuition with Dorothy productive. My son was home schooled managed to secure top grade in only 4 weeks of studying.
