About Divya
I study Political Science (English) and Economics at UC Berkeley. I graduated high school with a 4.6 GPA and was in the top 5% of my graduating class. I have a strong background in the English subject as I have taken AP Language, AP Lit, Honors English 1 and 2, receiving all A's. In college, I have written countless papers as well. I have been tutoring students in reading and writing for six years. In my free time, I like to watch Shark Tank, read science fiction books and try new Trader Joe's snacks!

I begin every lesson by listening to your goals and understanding how you learn best. From there, I adapt my teaching style, whether you’re a visual, auditory, or hands-on learner, and use tools like interactive screen-sharing, step-by-step explanations, and creative examples to make concepts engaging and easy to understand. My lessons are designed for elementary, middle, and high school students, and I focus on building confidence as much as academic skill. What sets me apart is my optimistic approach to learning, my experience completing 11 AP courses in high school, my current studies at UC Berkeley, and over six years of dedicated tutoring experience helping students succeed.
