I am an experienced pianist & piano teacher. I teach classical piano & foundational piano technique (which can be applied to any style / genre of music). I am a graduate of The Royal Academy of Music & Goldsmiths College (Univerisity of London), I have BMus (1st class hons), MMus (Distinction) degrees, and the LRAM Piano Teaching Diploma. I have many years experience working in schools, universities & with private students of all ages. I have a focused approach to helping you achieve your potential and your goals. My approach is complimented by my work as a yoga teacher, so I have a holistic and understanding approach.
I can help you to learn to read music, to develop your keyboard skills & piano technique, & I can help you prepare for performances, Grade exams and Music Theory & Aural exams. I am equally happy to simply help you learn those favorite pieces you always wanted to learn if that is what you are looking to get from your piano studies. I am available for ad hoc or regular lessons, and you are welcome to come to my home in Bristol or I can possibly travel to you (by arrangement). I love teaching adults and children alike.
I have specialised in contemporary classical music and mixed media collaborations in the past, but I am equally happy to teach across a range of classical into contemporary styles.
