About Elena
Hello! I am a pianist and certified piano teacher with an MA in Piano Performance. I have been working professionally over a decade with kids age 5-19 and adults, both in a classroom and private settings.
I have prepared my students for concerts, annual school exams, ABRSM piano and theory exams, university entrance exams and national and international competitions, resulting in my students winning over 90 awards (piano, piano duo, chamber music).
I am kind, funny, patient and highly professional. Always trying to bring the best out of my students. Looking forward to hear you play!

My teaching method is holistic and intuitive. I approach each student individually by creating and adapting lesson plans according to students’ needs.
As an enthusiastic and energetic teacher I am able to communicate complex information in a simple and entertaining manner.
In lessons, I place a strong emphasis on higher artistic interpretation and its presentation, tone production, effective learning/practice strategies, memorization skills, posture/alignment, sight-reading, music fundamentals/theory, and ear training.
Also, I am committed to an interdisciplinary approach to teaching – presenting music in larger historical, social and intellectual contexts.
