Methodology

My teaching method is very varied and diverse and is dependent upon the requirements and individual learning style of the student. With a Degree in Teaching and Learning and experience of teaching disengaged students, I am able to offer creative activities which follow up to date curricula.

I have been tutoring for over two years with a successful tutoring businness. With severeal years of Primary Classroom experience and many years working with children with additional needs, I can offer a very student centred, patient and nurturing approach.

I possess a strong work ethic, with consistent punctuality, professionalism and presentation qualities. I class myself as an exceptionally reflective practitioner and self-motivated individual, always seeking to improve myself in order to promote better outcomes for others. I am a calm and patient individual with a placid and nurturing nature. My core motivation is the desire to make a difference to pupils, to see them grow and develop and to provide the opportunities for them to achieve this, through differentiation and an individualised approach.
My commitment, flexibility and organisation have been demonstrated throughout my academic and vocational journeys’. I have a genuine love of and enthusiasm for teaching and learning . I enjoy very much sharing my passion and enthusiasm with children. I feel that learning should be a positive experience and this positivity should be shared with children and students.
To be involved in the lives of young children, I regard personally as a privilege and would be extremely proud to be in a position to facilitate their progress and development.

Employment History.
Dec 2017-Present Private Tutor-Sole Trader HiFive Learning
I provide a range of individualised weekly lessons to students within the local area on a 1-1 basis. My students ages range from 4 to 16, covering learning topics including phonics and early reading skills, early maths, reading improvement, KS2 and 3 English and Maths, Functional Skills English and Maths, GCSE preparation and revision. I teach children who are Elected Home Educated and several with additional needs.

Dec 2017-Present Personal Tutor Teaching Personnel
Currently providing core subject tuition for pupils whom have been excluded from school or are awaiting a suitable school place which meets their needs. Responsibilities include, providing and teaching from own planning and delivering engaging and effective learning using a variety of both practical and written activities. I maintain relationships and records as required by County Council and Teaching Personnel.

Sep 2017-Nov 2017 KS2 Class Teacher Ruskin Junior Academy
Duties included, to plan and deliver lessons to a diverse year 4 class across the curriculum, monitor pupil progress, accountability for welfare and progress of pupils and maintaining appropriate records, reporting to parents. Hobbies/interests.
Making jewellery for my online business which I also sell at a monthly market stall and craft fayres. General crafting, outdoor walking with my dog, spending time with family, reading, cooking, computing, art appreciation and photography.
I also enjoy home decor and DIY and visiting classic, retro and fast car events.
Currently I am studying for an Art GCSE also.
