About Kayla
With over 6 years of experience teaching economics, I have developed a style that is rooted in dialogue and real-world engagement. My classes are built on conversation, debate, and inquiry, rather than rote memorization. I believe the best way to learn economics is to apply it to current events, policy issues, and global challenges. Students learn to see patterns, recognize trade-offs, and understand cause and effect in complex systems. I place strong emphasis on respectful communication, where learners practice framing arguments and listening carefully to diverse perspectives. By exploring ethical dilemmas, such as inequality or climate economics, we push beyond surface-level answers into deeper understanding. Each lesson is interactive and designed to provoke thought as much as it teaches theory. Students come away not just knowing economics but thinking like economists. My focus is always on fluency, nuance, and critical awareness. I want learners to feel empowered to discuss global issues with confidence and care. Economics, in my classroom, becomes a living dialogue about our interconnected world.

I teach economics through a gentle, reflective, and interactive style. The goal is not just to memorize terms but to use economics as a way of seeing the world more clearly. Each lesson begins with something real and current, like rising costs, environmental policies, or global markets. From there we build connections to theories and frameworks. I guide learners to think critically, compare ideas, and find their own perspectives. Respectful communication is essential, so discussions are always thoughtful and open. We often focus on sustainability and climate economics, giving students the vocabulary to express concerns about the future. The sessions are highly conversational, encouraging learners to share their voices confidently. I especially support beginners and those who may feel uncertain, helping them grow with patience. Economics becomes less intimidating and more like a shared exploration. Lessons stay engaging by connecting knowledge with lived experience. My goal is to inspire awareness and confidence in discussing economic issues. Together we practice a way of learning that is conscious and empowering.
