I am a passionate college lecturer and experienced tutor specialising in English, Psychology, and student development. My background in Psychology and Criminal Behaviour, alongside a PGCE in Secondary Education, has given me a deep understanding of how young people think, learn, and respond to challenges. This enables me to identify barriers to progress quickly, whether they are academic, emotional, motivational, or confidence-based, and develop effective strategies that help students feel capable, engaged, and in control of their learning journey.

As an examiner-level tutor, I teach students how marks are awarded and what examiners are looking for. I help learners develop the skills needed to write with clarity, precision, and purpose, while mastering effective revision and examination techniques. My sessions are structured, engaging, and evidence-informed, enabling students to move from uncertainty to confidence and from predicted grades to their target outcomes.

I am also an experienced SEND and SEMH specialist. Having worked extensively with students who benefit from additional scaffolding, emotional regulation strategies, executive functioning support, or alternative approaches to learning, I understand the importance of creating a safe and positive environment where students feel understood, valued, and empowered to succeed. My teaching is patient, flexible, and tailored to each learner's individual needs.
